NextLink Expands Global Presence in Announcing new nearshore operations in Spain

NextLink announced it has established a new office in Barcelona, Spain as part of its ongoing nearshore IT outsourcing strategy.
Spain office will focus primarily on providing nearshore Application Support and Maintenance (ASM) services our European customers.

This marks NextLink second major investment in its nearshore outsourcing strategy; leveraging Spanish skills base, low wages, and cultural similarities to deliver cost-effective outsourcing services to EU clients.

By competing with offshore hubs to keep contracts and jobs in Europe, nearshore firms like NextLink are also helping to stimulate the EU economy.

Nearshore application outsourcing providers are increasingly perceived as strong alternatives to traditional offshore support,” said Yacine Bouamrioune, CEO of NextLink. “This is primarily due to the high level of technical expertise available in Spain, the close physical proximity and cultural similarities. This is an ideal opportunity for EU companies to take advantage of a growing trend.”

Pharma 2020: Re- shaping Supply chain for future

Pharma’s future has never looked more promising – or more ominous. Major scientific, technological and socioeconomic changes will revive the industry’s fortunes in another decade, but capitalising on these trends will entail making crucial decisions first.

The pharmaceutical supply chain needs a radical overhaul, and we predict that it will undergo three key changes over the next decade

  1. It will fragment, with different models for different product types and patient segments
  2. It will become a means of market differentiation and source of economic value
  3. It will become a two-way street, with information flowing upstream to drive the downstream flow of products and services.

Businesses across EU/UK, over the last decade, have established NextLink as a trusted partner to address their business challenges using our deep industry domain competency and technology expertise. We have over 60 dedicated consultants serving businesses in pharma industry. Having a strong relationship with many large customers (such as Roche, Novartis, Alexion Pharma etc.) spread across Europe, UK, the Pharma SBU has been continuously investing in building competencies to help our customers do business better.

Baina Beach Charity Project

Baina Beach is located in Marmugoa Taluk, a tourist destination in the Indian state of Goa. The Baina Beach settlement was founded in the 1960s and is made up of approximately 1,200 huts housing.

NextLink and Magic bus, a renowned NGO have carried out a recce of the area, which has revealed that many of the community members residing in Baina Beach, including children, are HIV positive. Alcoholism is also widespread among both men and women and, in addition, many are affected by tuberculosis.

NextLink funding would be able to intervene in this community by providing weekly mentoring sessions to three hundred children for a year. The sessions will focus on increasing the regularity of school attendance and re-enrolling dropped out children; building healthy habits; increasing knowledge about diseases such as malaria, dengue fever and diarrhea; and breaking gender stereotypes. The sessions will be delivered by 16 Community Youth Leaders and one Youth Mentor.
